The bloody Mary was not very spicy, which is good because so many places overdo the heat, not too thick or thin, and had a wonderfully robust and rich tomato flavor. They definitely make a wicked bloody Mary which comes with a lemon pepper rim and a skewer of three lemon pepper wings/drumsticks. Located about 60 miles from Springfield, this city’s food scene has been evolving for years and has cultivated some excellent restaurants. The Joplin culinary scene deserves more attention.
